More Information
This type is called the “marmande” and has become popular to the point of replacing the round salad tomato in winter, which is the best period for production of this cultivar. The beef tomato gives its best when grown in soils with high salinity. The fruits are eye-catching and their most distinctive feature is the bright green rib near the petiole.
