Rinse the cabbage, drain and flavour for a few minutes in the oil and garlic; cover with hot water or broth, season with salt, and cook on a low heat with a lid, stirring occasionally.
The flavour of the cabbage will depend on the patience of the cook! When it takes on a golden colour, it is ready.
